Panasonic presented advances of its new commercial strategy

Mexico. Following the strategy defined by Panasonic Corporation in 2013, in which the Japanese company transformed its divisions worldwide to turn Business Solutions into one of the pillars to operate for the future, Panasonic de Mexico announces the availability of a complete offer of products, services and turnkey systems, under the commercial structure of the Solutions Group, focused on serving vertical markets.

Recently created and oriented to specific vertical markets, the Panasonic solutions group of Mexico is made up of expert personnel in different areas, from commercial to consulting, design, integration, implementation and maintenance of a complete system.

By fully joining the global strategy of the Japanese corporation, Panasonic de Mexico seeks to generate business from complete solutions for the vertical markets of retail, convenience store chains, restaurant chains and sports or entertainment venues. In addition to offering specialized technologies in areas such as energy saving and management or telecommunications that can serve in any type of industrial, commercial or public sector.

According to Yoshihiro Kanamaru, president of Panasonic de Mexico, the Solutions Group represents 20% of the company's current sales, while the rest of the divisions account for the remaining 80%. "Our challenge is to modify this composition and ensure that, in three years, the business of the Solutions Group contributes 50% of sales in Mexico. That is the trend that Panasonic Corporation companies follow and our team of collaborators works every day to join it," said Yoshihiro Kanamaru.

Business solutions are the result of Panasonic's experience, vision and innovation at the service of institutions, companies and professionals who require systems, services and tools to make their organizations more productive and efficient, while coexisting harmoniously with the environment and its social environment.

"In accordance with the company's strategy, we focused on the study and analysis of the business solutions that were most suitable for the Mexican market," says Kanamaru. "We reached out to our business partners, showed potential solutions to potential customers, and had the patience to evaluate different options. Thus, we decided that, in a first stage, we will focus on well-defined vertical markets to which we will offer a very specific range of solutions in which we are very competitive", concludes the Japanese executive.

Strength in solutions
Currently, the Panasonic Solutions Group of Mexico develops turnkey systems in six main areas:

  • Marketing: Solutions to create attractive marketing experiences that capture the attention of consumers through digital signage, video mapping, giant LED screens, transparent and interactive shop windows or Light ID technology for augmented reality applications.
  • Operational Efficiency for Retail: Solutions for department stores, supermarkets, convenience stores and restaurant chains, with fixed and mobile point of sale terminals, self-service terminals with 4K screens to promote interaction with the consumer, in addition to the aforementioned Marketing solutions to improve the shopping experience.
  • Digital Signage for Large Venues: Solutions for audiovisual content management in sports stadiums, arenas and entertainment centers, with video distribution systems via streaming and Digital Media Center through digital signage and giant LED screens.
  • Energy: Energy management and saving solutions through consulting services and equipment for measuring and managing energy consumption.
  • Security: Advanced video surveillance solutions with software for the management of security systems with access control, smoke detection, fire prevention and multi-camera systems. In addition to cameras with detection and recognition of faces for preventive security and monitoring systems with large LED screens.
  • Telecommunications: Support solutions for telecommunications, from a reliable intercom headband system with bone conduction technology to an innovative communications recovery system in emergency and natural disaster situations.

The transformation, from a manufacturing and marketing company, to one that also integrates consulting services, design, integration and maintenance of solutions, requires the sum of many factors that are within the reach of the Mexican subsidiary.

With more than 35 years of presence in the country, Panasonic de Mexico knows the local market in depth and has built strong relationships with the main business and industrial groups. The company has a manufacturing plant in the State of Mexico and offices in Mexico City, Monterrey, Guadalajara and Tijuana.

In addition to Panasonic of Mexico, Panasonic Corporation owns nine more companies in the states of Tamaulipas, Nuevo Leon and Baja California. These include Hussmann Corporation plants, refrigeration equipment for stores, and Universal Lighthing Technologies, lighting systems, components and products, which provide their technologies and locally manufactured products to make the solution offering much more competitive.

In addition to this, the Solutions Group team has the ability to work closely with other Panasonic Corporation companies, resulting in a significant sum of talent, experience, as well as technical and human resources.
