United States. The implementation of digital signage in the facilities of hotel properties is one of the factors included by the AAA organization in its new parameters for evaluating the quality of hotels in its "Diamond Rating System".
The organization revised the evaluation guide with which it assigned a rating of 1 to 5 AAA diamonds to hotels in North America after conducting a thorough inspection.
The new guide includes, among other changes, the inclusion of digital signage equipment and self-service kiosks, as well as the impact of these devices on the hotel environment and access to its services, as an important point to take into account.
Michael Petrone, director of information development for tourists, explained that this change is due to the fact that the expectations of travelers are constantly changing, as well as the capabilities of the industry, so the update of the evaluation parameters must reflect those changes and the new needs of users.
