"There will no longer be a drop in selling prices and profits will improve as operating expenses rise, costs fall and demand shows improvement," Chang Wonkie, president of Samsung's LCD business, told Reuters news agency.
After the operating losses suffered by Samsung in the first quarter of this year, which are estimated to be about 150 million euros (about US$212 million) in its LCD division; the company expects that by the second quarter operating expenses will show an improvement of 90% compared to 85% in the previous one. All based on the behavior of emerging markets such as China that is expected to show a significant recovery.
