Colombia. The magazine Gamers On, in partnership with the animation training center, Nazka Digital and the support of the TecnoParque of the National Learning Service -SENA-, were responsible for the organization of the first version of the Latin American Congress of 3D Animation and Video Games, from September 22 to 24 of this year, where industry professionals met for a varied programming.In this launch version, the event that took place at the facilities of the Maloka Interactive Technology Center in the Colombian capital, had more than 30 exhibiting companies, 25 international speakers and more than 3,000 visitors. In addition, academic activities were carried out for the areas of technology and innovation, commercial exhibition, forum and business rooms, among others.
The congress, aimed at the community of gamers, representatives of technology companies and students, had the opportunity to listen to international guests, representatives of this industry such as Susan Gold, founder of the Global Game Jam and educational advisor to the White House; Robert Bardy, facial animator of films such as Stuart Little 2 and Dr. Doolitle 2; Joan Vogelesang, president of Toom Boom Studios and Gustavo Jorge, commercial manager of Nvidia.
