Mexico. Global technological development has allowed companies to adapt to new work models based on digital transformation. Therefore, an internal analysis carried out during the first half of the year by Panduit, highlights the state of digital transformation in Mexico.

This manufacturer of solutions in physical, electrical, network and AV infrastructure for business environments, emphasizes the trends seen during the first half of the year and the development of network infrastructure in the country.

And, according to data from the World Bank, the digital economy is equivalent to 15.5% of global GDP, which has allowed companies to carry out digital transformation processes to cover a larger market. At the regional level, according to data from the venture capital firm Atlantico, Latin America has seen a considerable increase in investment by technology companies, which has led it to generate a market capitalization of 3.4% in only the third quartile of 2021.

In Mexico, according to data from Panduit, the digital business transformation has played an important role during the pandemic and the post-pandemic period that the country is experiencing. Thus, the sectors with the greatest progress in terms of digital transformation are:

●North, West and Pacific Zone of Mexico:

○ Automotive sector, aerospace, CEDIS, manufacturing, Data Centers and logistics sector.

●Central, southern and southeastern zone of Mexico:

○Retail, tourism, education, real estate and data centers.

"The digital transformation of the North, West and Pacific has benefited from the development of Data Centers in Queretaro, the automation of processes in Distribution Centers and the planning of production lines in the automotive sector, which has begun to show growth since February of this year," says Jorge Bleizeffer, commercial manager of Panduit north, west and pacific zone of Mexico.

The expert highlights that the incorporation of audio and video tools for spaces such as offices and smart buildings have been key to facing the new normal, since they propose a solution to the need for real-time videoconferencing, presentations with image and sound, and remote work systems.

The specialization of the members of the distribution and integration channel has been of vital importance to complement the digital transformation projects in the country. Each area of Mexico has a greater number of certifications according to the needs of the regional market. That is, for the northern zone, certifications are required in the industrial sector, while in the central and southern zone courses are proposed for digital buildings, 2.0 offices and Data Centers.

"Channels are the basis for all digital transformation, so it is important that they are enabled differently and specialize through virtual and face-to-face courses to provide an efficient response to the needs of customers," says Antonio Aguirre, commercial manager of Panduit central, southern and southeastern mexico.

Data Centers and Enterprise Solutions the main trends of digital transformation
Juan Pablo Borray, Panduit's business development manager for Latin America, points out that the main trends for 2022 will be reflected from two aspects: Data Centers and Enterprise units.

With respect to Data Centers, the Panduit expert points out that the pandemic accelerated the process of incorporation and improvement of Data Centers in just a few months, so now network infrastructure solutions are offered with high scalability, Data Center monitoring solutions to collect environmental and connectivity data and solutions that promote energy savings of up to 30% such as the elements passive cooling.

While, in the case of Enterprise solutions, the trend points to a convergence between building systems, that is, the integration of video surveillance systems, connectivity, IT systems, among others.

"The network infrastructure must now support data and power, as well as having a discreet design, hidden from users, that helps ensure wired and wireless connections to enterprise networks. This trend had already been seen in previous years, but it is regaining strength so far in 2022, "says the director of Panduit.

Audio and video, the new trend for 2022
One of the main trends for this 2022 will be the incorporation of Audio and Video systems in different environments, among which offices, schools, entertainment centers and retail stores stand out.

"During 2021, 9 out of 10 office workers had to make use of videoconferencing systems. That is why it is important that both the end user and the members of our channel understand the importance of the convergence of IT systems with audio and video solutions, since their knowledge can bring remarkable benefits for both parties," says Mauricio Escobar, Atlona channel account manager for the Caribbean and Latin America.

On the other hand, the expert points out that the most important solutions for the development of audio and video systems in the post-pandemic era are directly related to low latency, end-user experience and process automation.

Panduit and the development of the digital transformation market
Carlos Arochi, director of Panduit Latam, pointed out that Panduit had a growth of 50% by the end of 2021 compared to 2020, managing to realize the levels obtained during 2019. Meanwhile, the first quarter of 2022 was consecrated as the sixth quarter with consecutive growth in sales, customers and partners of Panduit. With this, they have managed to have around 7 thousand channel members and more than 11 thousand partners nationwide.

Despite the problems raised in the last year, Panduit developed the largest warehouse in Latin America, with an inventory capable of foreseeing any situation of risk, delay or shortage of products with its customers in Mexico and Latin America.

The director of Panduit points out that innovation is an important part for the growth of the company, since it represents 10% of the total investment of the company and has around 250 thousand square meters in innovation laboratories.
