National Theater of Costa Rica is modernized with Chauvet

teatro Nacional de costa ricaCosta Rica. Sometimes the things that adorn the exterior of a building reveal truths about the passion that drives its inner heart. The elegant Teatro Nacional Costa Rica is one such place. Completed in 1897, it is the jewel of the nation's capital and one of the most beautiful concert halls in America.

Upon reaching this famous structure, the visitor can contemplate beautiful sculptures by the poet Calderón de la Barca and the composer Ludwig van Beethoven. Further down the entrance walkway are the statues of Frédéric Chopin. The message conveyed by this external artwork is clear: the interior is a place that treasures art from all over the world!

Recently, the Costa Rican Philharmonic Orchestra reaffirmed this commitment by performing a virtual concert on the site. Supporting his performance and making it more vivid for the spectators was the colorful light of the CHAUVET Professional COLORado 3 Solo luminaires newly installed in the theater.

The 60W RGB LED luminaires were installed just before the show, when the oldest units of the place began to fog up unexpectedly. The stage director Telemaco Martínez and the technical team of Illuminotécnicos del Teatro formed by David Rojas Rojas, Hermes Soto Loría and Manuel Zuñiga Elizondo, addressed the issue by installing the new COLORado luminaires.

"For us, as the new generation of technicians at the National Theater of Costa Rica, it has been exciting to be part of this shift from halogen and tungsten lights to LED luminaires," said Hermes Soto Loría, who describes the installation of the new COLORado accessories as "a step into the future."

Taking advantage of the soft zoom of the COLORado 3 Solo and the three RGBW LEDs of 60 W, which project an intense and totally homogenized beam, while remaining ultra silent, the entire team of the National Theater Costa Rica looks forward to the day when the confinement ends. and one day they will be able to create dazzling looks with modern technology for this historic theater."
