Colombia. The Senate of the Republic has in the multipurpose auditorium Luis Guillermo Vélez, which was subjected to an update process in AV technology by the integrator Ambientes Inteligentes.
Juan Montoya, representative of the company, stressed that the client sought to make in this space both multimedia presentations and theatrical works and some musical events. The auditorium had to have a very agile conversion from one type of event to another, an easy handling for the operators and give capacity to make a professional live production either for TV or Streaming transmission, in addition to facilitating coverage by the press.
"The project included acoustic study for insulation and conditioning with its physical implementation. Video projection and production systems, sound reinforcement and processing, artistic lighting and equipment for the integration and automation of all previous systems were installed. There were other elements such as the electrical part, architectural lighting and voice and data networks that were delivered as an integral part of the solution," he said.
After the intervention, operators from the control room or from a Tablet (wirelessly) can control the system, especially useful for unforeseen events (ad-Hoc) where they need agility to start a presentation. There are also fixed keypads on both sides of the stage to call presets or basic configurations in the living room from there including artistic lighting.
ElectroVoice, ClearOne, Sony Professional, Hall Research, were some of the brands used for this project, which were chosen for quality, intuitive for the management of users, either a presenter without technical knowledge or an operator specialized in audiovisuals, and finally for being the most cost effective they could find.
Juan Montoya concluded that "customer satisfaction is quite high. All the part of the sensory perception of the public that was wanted to achieve both visually and acoustically is the real success of the project. Without the qualities and technical characteristics of the products used we would not have been able to achieve the result obtained, but we cannot forget that the part of the exact choice of these equipment thought beyond the electronic part, but assimilated and seen from the human sensory part were the ones that really allowed this project to be finally positive".
