Belden launched new series of horn cables

Latin America. The American manufacturer Belden presented a new series of horn cables, which serve both indoor and outdoor. From caliber 10 to 16, both in 2 and 4 conductors, these cables are prepared for standard indoor use, also for outdoor use, since they are prepared with special lining with UV protection, which usually end up cracking a standard lining.

In addition, it supports direct burial, which saves channeling. Regarding its electrical properties, by using poly-olefin insulation instead of pvc, low capacitance is achieved, which allows a better response in frequency and longer distances. The conductor is oxygen-free copper, since the absence of impurities increases the conductivity and therefore the performance of the sound.

Another novelty is the HDMI cables manufactured by Belden. Until now they reached 20 meters, but in InfoComm Las Vegas the new optical HDMI up to 100 meters were released. They have a "detachable" connector to allow it to pass through narrow pipes. Once it passes through the conduit, put the adapter back on and you are ready to connect it to the projector or display.

Belden also introduced its "2183" cable specially designed for demanding video over IP applications, such as carrying signal in 4K resolution using HDbaseT extenders. It is a cable that uses a special shield for video, which also helps in the dissipation of PoE. The four twisted pairs come with "glued pair" (Belden patent): as the pairs are not separated by the rigors of the installation, the cable increases its symmetry and roll, which prevents the degradation of the signal in the face of the increasing noise of RFI / EMI interference that is experienced in large cities.

Finally, Belden makes cables for automation and control that support the standards of several manufacturers of this equipment (such as Lutron or Crestron). In addition to complying technically, they usually have a cheaper price than the "official" ones, which is why they are having enough success among integrators.
