Mexico. Musical theatre is itself an adventure of emotions, which needs a big task behind the scenes. The lights, the atmosphere and the sound are essential for the attendees to feel part of the scene. This is the case of the musical MYST that is presented at the Ragga entertainment center in Antara Polanco, which through five decades of music manages to capture the audience present thanks to the adrenaline transmitted by the artists.
To make the show even more attractive you need lighting, amplifiers, consoles, microphones and audio design. All this with the aim of moving the emotions of the public and making them enjoy the moment with all the senses.
Bringing technology to each staging requires a lot of precision, from installation to the moment of execution. Carlos Nager, sales and after-sales engineer of Harman Profesional Mexico, together with Raúl Ortiz, responsible for the Ragga Club Mexico project, were in charge of installing the audio solutions in the enclosure using products of the highest quality of Harman Profesional.
To highlight the sound in MYST and bring the audience to the musical dimension that was wanted, a whole system of PA and Harman Professional amplifiers was installed; 6 boxes of the VTX V20 series were used, 4 subwoofers of the S28 model, a VTX F15 system of sidefill and outfill to cover the lateral parts of the enclosure, the VT4886 model under the stage that covers the first rows of the audience in such a way that the whole place has the same sound pressure and frequency response. A Master Reference M2 and a 708i monitor were placed in the VIP area, a 28-1 control and 25-1 control in the smoking and dressing room area, with SRX 815p and 812p Delay speakers. All this equipment from one of Harman's iconic sound brands, JBL.
Technology for a musical like MYST is important to ensure the quality of the event and the best experience in the attendees. "We had 20 days to put together all the sound equipment in Ragga and get to the main goal on the part of the owners, which was a perfect quality in the audio. Thanks to the support of Harman Profesional it became possible to have everything ready in a timely manner with the best sound equipment on the market," said Raúl Ortiz, head of the Ragga Club Mexico project.
Generally speaking, the conjunction of musical talent with technical knowledge and cutting-edge technology produce emotions that will remain in the audience for many years. "Knowing about the components of the JBL team, practically what goes into the console is what the system faithfully produces. As a sound engineer I love the idea of a big league team like Harman being present in this musical. I have also achieved good system control, thanks to its technology," added Joel Neri, audio engineer for the musical MYST.
The nights in which MYST is presented in Ragga are full of the great talent of the artists and the music atmosphere of the 80's and 90's, but above all, of the performance that is carried out with the solutions in sound of the highest quality, which result in the best experience through Harman Professional products.
