AES is linked to TecnoMultimedia InfoComm

Latin America. The Association of Audio Engineers, through its chapters in Mexico and Colombia, announced its link as a sponsoring association of TecnoMultimedia InfoComm. As part of this alliance, members of both chapters will have access to a 16% discount on attendance at InfoComm conferences during the event.

For AVI LATINOAMÉRICA and InfoComm Internacional, organizers of the event, it is a great event, thanks to which the main associations linked to the audio sector come together to increase knowledge among professionals in this sector and boost their participation in events in the sector, thus strengthening professional networking.

For the first time AES Mexico participated in the 2016 fair, which took place in August, and its associates had access to all the first-hand information offered by the event, as well as exclusive discounts.

"Collaboration between related associations is one of the best means par excellence to participate and share best practices," says Ángel González España, Secretary of AES Mexico Section. "In the particular case of AES and TecnoMultimedia InfoComm allows associates on both sides to share knowledge; bringing AES members closer to new  technologies, standards and practices in the world of A/V and control. Achieving this type of collaboration enriches the opportunities for both to grow and develop in technology and new practices," he adds.

In the case of Colombia, Andrés Millán, Secretary of AES Colombia Section, highlights that AES is the only association focused exclusively on audio. "The Audio Engineering Society is the only professional association dedicated exclusively to audio technology," he reiterates.

Founded in the United States in 1948, the AES has grown to become an international organization that brings together audio engineers, creative artists, scientists and students around the world promoting advances in audio and disseminating new knowledge and research.

Currently, more than 14,000 members are affiliated in more than 75 Professional Sections and more than 95 AES Student Sections around the world. Section activities include guest speakers, technical tours, demonstrations, and social functions, among others.

Through the events of the AES Sections, valuable opportunities are generated to create networks of professionals, and grow on a personal and professional level. Likewise, the association has developed hundreds of academic events around the world and within the framework of its electronic library has more than 14,000 scientific and technical publications.

"For us as organizers of the event to have AES on board is a great achievement, because we consider it to be the most important Association within the guild of audio engineers worldwide and its support indicates that we are on the right track," said Max Jaramillo, general director of AVI Latin America, organizer of the event together with InfoComm International.

The Association of Audio Engineers joins the important list of associations that have given their support to TecnoMultimedia InfoComm, joining forces for the growth of the sector and the academic updating of its professionals: AMITRA, ASBEA, ASOTIC, AURESIDE, BICSI, CABA, CEDIA, DSMX, KNX, USM Colombia, among others.
