Matrix beam headlights can obtain information from a camera or other sensors such as the navigation system. Thus, when the camera registers other vehicles or the illumination of villages, the new headlights specifically disconnect the corresponding partial area of the high beam, composed of several sectors.
In addition, the company is working on Adaptive Light technology, which can identify vehicles traveling in the opposite direction to autonomously switch between high light and low light.
This is combined with the MMI navigation plus, which can read the route data in advance, to activate the turning lights before reaching a junction, among other functions.
