USA. USA Helen Meyer, co-founder and executive vice president of Meyer Sound Laboratories, has received the "Women of Distinction" award from the East Bay Business Times of California. The annual contest rewards 25 women who have crossed barriers, served as mentors to other women and left a mark on the city's business.
Co-founded by Helen and her husband John in 1979, Meyer Sound manufactures used professional audio products around the world. All Meyer Sound products are manufactured at its headquarters, which is part of its philosophy of ensuring the quality and consistency of the products, as well as helping the local economy by generating employment. The company has more than 350 employees at its headquarters and in satellite offices around the world. In addition, its founder participates in community work and cites her children and grandchildren as her great achievement.
