Sonos introduces speakers for residential surround audio

sonos

Latin America. Sonos introduced its new generation of smart speakers that marks the beginning of a new chapter in sound innovation and design. These are the Era 300 and Era 100 speakers.

Era 300 is the speaker created to deliver the loud spatial audio experience, while Era 100 is the redesign of Sonos One, one of the best-selling speakers. Calibrated by award-winning artists and engineers, the Era family offers new levels of surround audio with enhanced connectivity options and Trueplay technology.

The Era 300 and Era 100 are also speakers developed under Sonos' new responsible design standards, covering long-term ease of maintenance, energy-efficient technologies and the use of post-consumer recycled materials (PCR).

"In this era saturated with background noise, quality audio is more important than ever. Our vision is to make the act of listening an all-encompassing experience, and to help our users feel joy and excitement when listening to their favorite music and audio content," said Patrick Spence, CEO of Sonos. "The Era family is the next generation of smart speakers, representing our commitment to sound innovation, responsible design and a deep connection to the creator community."

It was 300
For the first time in a single compact speaker, the Era 300 features six internal speakers that direct sound left, right, forward and up to generate innovative audio performance with Dolby Atmos that puts users at the very center of their movies and music.

"Dolby Atmos created a new way to experience music and auditory entertainment. Sounds and music come to life with unparalleled clarity and depth," said Kevin J. Yeaman, CEO of Dolby. "The sonic innovation of Sonos Era 300 with Dolby Atmos creates a fully immersive music experience."

Designed for spatial audio: Era 300 wraps its complex acoustic architecture in a sleek hourglass design, in which every angle, shape and perforation enhances the direction and dispersion of sound to envelop you perfectly.

Era 300 is the brand's first speaker to offer multi-channel surround sound by using two as rear speakers for home theater. Movie lovers can combine two speakers with Arc or Beam (Gen 2) to create a stunning Dolby Atmos experience that will immerse them even more in the center of the action.

Sonos worked closely with its community of prominent artists and creators, including members of the Sonos Sound Council, to meticulously calibrate the Era 300 speaker so users can enjoy the sound as it was created by the artist in the studio.
