nsign.tv, finalist in two international AV awards

nsign.tv,

Latin America. The facial recognition project in the field of retail of nsign.tv has been finalist in two important international awards of the audiovisual industry, the Inavation Awards and the Digital Signage Awards.

The company has been nominated in both cases for its innovative Artificial Intelligence (AI) project for retail based on the automatic attribution of content on screens based on the gender and age group of the audience, obtained thanks to facial recognition algorithms.

In the Inavation Awards, which recognize the best projects, technologies and professionals in the AV industry worldwide and are organized by the renowned English magazine Inavate, nsign.tv has been nominated in the category of Best R & D, where outstanding examples of creativity, innovation and disruption within the R & D strategy of companies are rewarded. The winners will be chosen by a jury of experts and will be announced on February 1 in Barcelona within the framework of ISE 2022 in a ceremony that will take place at the National Museum of Art of Catalonia.

For its part, in the Digital Signage Awards, nsign.tv has been a finalist in the category of "Technical advances and innovation in management software, data integration and artificial intelligence". In this case, a panel of 24 specialists in digital signage will choose the winners in an online gala to be held on February 2.

"We are especially happy that our strong commitment to R&D has been recognized, which is one of the hallmarks of nsign.tv," says Toni Viñals, CEO of the company. "The project for which we have been nominated in the two awards allows retailers to get to know their users better, adapt to their needs and transmit information in the most agile way possible. In short, improve the shopping experience in the physical store, providing more value. We will continue to work to deliver innovative solutions that contribute to the digital transformation of physical spaces, helping brands and retailers connect and interact with their audiences."

The project for which nsign.tv has been a finalist in both awards has materialized in a facial recognition module that has been integrated into the digital signage platform of nsign.tv. Thanks to facial recognition, which complies at all times with the data protection law, the platform can automatically activate and segmented content depending on the gender and / or age group of who is looking at that display at all times. In the same sense, data is collected for statistical analysis in order to increase the efficiency of the system.

The solution, which distributes nsign.tv since 2021 in a hardware + software module, is ideal for retail and shopping centers, and is not designed only for large spaces and large budgets, but can be implemented with relatively low costs so that establishments with only a camera and a display can already benefit from this technology.

These two nominations are in addition to the important award for the "Digital Signage Technology of the Year" that the company obtained last November at the AV Awards, the Oscars of the professional audiovisual industry.
