Atlona Intensifies OmniStream AV-to-IP Series Approach

Latin America. Atlona continues to strengthen its concentrated AV-over-IP strategy for its OmniStream platform, significantly expanding its suitability for high-end commercial and residential projects.

In addition to the broader product series and with a clear delineation, Atlona will strengthen its portfolio of IP-related services so that system integrators can implement complete AV-over-IP solutions as quickly, simply and efficiently as possible.

OmniStream was presented at ISE 2016 as a network switching and distribution platform that helps integrators develop flexible, scalable and cost-effective AV systems. This year it has updated the OmniStream system to provide a complete AV-over-IP platform for integration into meeting rooms and classrooms, and even larger complete building, campus, and enterprise-grade systems:

  • OmniStream Pro, offering unprecedented scalability and reliability for medium to large commercial AV systems
  • OmniStream R-Type, which features increased performance thanks to simplified integration into commercial and lightweight residential AV systems
  • OmniStream Audio, a complementary audio line to support analog, AES67 and Dante audio transmission on OmniStream Pro and R-Type systems

Atlona will support OmniStream's new AV-over-IP fabric with a full range of services including IP training and certification, system design services, exclusive IP support, and commissioning services through its team of CCNA experts.

To further simplify system integration and minimize costs, all OmniStream Pro devices and the R-Type encoder can be powered by a PoE-equipped Gigabit switch or a dedicated power supply. OmniStream products are configured through the free Atlona Management System (AMS) 2.0 software, which functions as a centralized portal for monitoring and managing OmniStream systems.
