For artificial intelligence, Fujitsu and Microsoft join forces

Latin America. Fujitsu and Microsoft have announced an agreement to collaborate in the field of artificial intelligence to accelerate the transformation of the way people work in companies, developing joint solutions.

Building on Microsoft 365, Microsoft's integrated cloud service, these new solutions will combine Fujitsu's accumulated knowledge and experience through internal and external implementations of its global communication platform alongside its Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, dubbed Fujitsu Human Centric AI Zinrai and also AI platform services on Microsoft Azure. The two companies will conduct internal testing of jointly created solutions in several countries, accumulating knowledge and experience to improve quality and implementation. The goal is to make it available in the Japanese market between April and June 2018 and thereafter globally.

Customer value
1. Focus on creative work, generating high added value

Big data generated through Microsoft 365 is aggregated through Microsoft Graph. Microsoft MyAnalytics, Microsoft Workplace Analytics, etc. visualizes the usage status of email and calendars, which had a lack of visibility in the past. Fujitsu's Zinrai Artificial Intelligence technology distinguishes the importance and priority of the tasks mentioned in the body of an email and encourages users to perform the most important ones. In this way, you can quickly deal with those that are of higher priority and concentrate on creative work, such as generating ideas and offering greater added value.

2. Automate and coordinate routine tasks thanks to AI
It is achieved by combining Microsoft Cognitive Services and Microsoft Azure Bot Service with Fujitsu's conversational AI technology and Zinrai natural language analytics API, delivering a more people-centric user experience. For example, to organize a meeting, AI technology is able to search for a free schedule for everyone, dates and times, formats of meetings and places, depending on the convenience of the participants.

3. Eliminate silos and discover the right person, knowledge and network
Using the connections between people or things is considered an effective way to find exceptional human resources or valuable documents within organizations. To do this, Knowledge Graph is used as the knowledge base that graphically expresses the relationship between people and things. In addition, when it is analyzed by Zinrai technology and applied to the Knowledge Graph, they discover valuable human resources and important documents, offering the possibility of using the information, such as selecting the best members of a team for the launch of a project.

4. Analysis of productivity and motivation drivers when comparing people, teams and companies
Users of Microsoft MyAnalytics and Workplace Analytics can visualize the ways in which both people and teams work. Also, by combining the Knowledge Graph and the Deep Tensor® machine learning technology developed by Fujitsu Laboratories, which allows a very precise analysis of data structured by graphs, these solutions can offer information on how efficient and highly motivated people, organizations and companies work. This also allows the understanding of other important factors behind performance and thus reach a true transformation of the way of working.

The future
Both companies will not only offer consulting services for the deployment, but also consider conducting courses that will be held at the Fujitsu Digital Transformation Center located in Minato-ku, Tokyo, and the Microsoft Technology Center, also in the same area. The two companies will work together on developing new customers, primarily existing Office 365 and Microsoft 365 users, and aim to develop a new $2 billion business in the global marketplace by 2020."
