Schneider Electric developed prefabricated substations

Colombia. Schneider Electric presented a complete portfolio of prefabricated substations for network operations. Companies now have a customized and tailored solution that meets global standards of quality, power and efficiency in order to accelerate assembly and operation processes of these vital components for the operation of plants, factories, stations, mines, oil wells, power plants, among others.

Prefabricated substations for grid operations are configured and custom-made in the factory, based on the conditions and characteristics required by the user, including electrical specifications, communication characteristics and network type.

"Setting up and deploying a substation for grid operation is a delicate job that requires maintaining the highest standards in order to offer benefits to the company and the community from the moment of its installation in the long term," says David López, marketing manager of the Energy Business Unit for Schneider Electric's Andean cluster.

Thanks to Schneider Electric's experience in the development of substations for the management of network operations, it makes the needs of its customers a reality with high-impact projects, competitive in the market, renewing their designs with structured models, with the highest quality standards, interconnectable, with the possibility of extending their operation quickly and safely.

Among the benefits of this connected solution for the client is the work with a single supplier, avoiding working with multiple contractors, minimizing the risks in the installation and relationship with third parties, which involve transport, installation, testing, start of operation and execution, among others. In addition, it allows a constant reduction of costs by working hand in hand with the company as a contractor and manufacturer, capable of solving any unforeseen event.

To achieve this, Schneider Electric offers a consulting model that evaluates the customer's needs, productivity conditions and the work of the substation, risks and operation. All this so that the customer takes advantage of the efficiency of the product from the first moment.

On the other hand, the company complies with all the standards and technical norms required to guarantee the optimal functioning of the substation. This service starts from the structural part to the connectivity of all components.
