Ecuador. T&S Group was born in January 2014 with the idea of bringing together the experiences of two independent professionals in different areas of the audiovisual industry, Iván Galarraga (project designer) and Juan Portugal (FOH engineer). A short time later, engineer Santiago Vallejo (scenic consultant) joined the team, further strengthening this strategic alliance.
From Quito, the capital of Ecuador, T&S Group develops its projects for the whole country, not only with the provision of technological services in audio, video, lighting and acoustics, but also with the commercialization of equipment according to the requirements of its customers.
The company represents brands such as Bose Professional, Whirlwind, Audio Technica and the Powersoft installation line, to provide audiovisual solutions in different applications such as: theaters, auditoriums, multiple rooms and parks, among others.
Although the owners of T&S Group already knew the benefits of Powersoft amplification, its use intensified when they introduced the Bose ShowMatch sound system, a brand that recommends and uses professional amplifiers, such as Powersoft X Series, to give power to this equipment.
Juan Carlos Portugal, technical director of T&S Group, says: "In particular, I had been working with the Powersoft K Series for about five years, as I perform calibrations of domestically manufactured equipment and used them on several occasions. With T&S Group, we further link with the X Series, as our Bose ShowMatch system uses this amplifier."
The company currently has Powersoft X8 and X4 amplifiers in its stock and they are already thinking of introducing the Ottocanali series to the Ecuadorian market.
"The amplifiers we are working with have excellent technology and performance. Definitely the performance and power of the X8 and X4 models are the most versatile and friendly we have found. In addition, we had the pleasant news that Bose and Powersoft reached an international agreement of use, with which our team was repowered to get better out of the touring application, "he explained.
The ShowMatch system and Powersoft amplifiers are working together on different events since their acquisition.
The first was the launch of the ShowMatch line at the Casa de la Música philharmonic foundation in mid-July in the city of Quito, during which Gilberto Morejón, sales manager for Latin America and the Caribbean of Powersoft, was present.
"Gilberto's contribution at the launch was definitely very helpful, both in product experiences and in the training of the Armonía software," Juan added.
After the launch, the combination of equipment was also used by T&S Group technicians in a corporate event for 200 people with the artistic presentation of the youth orchestra and the collaboration of the artist Juan Fernando Velasco, plus the contribution of the renowned sound technician Luis Vargas, in the museum La Capilla del Hombre.
Another outstanding event was the Libertarian Evening at the Government Palace of Ecuador, celebrating the first cry of independence, a commemorative act for the 208 years of the libertarian deed with the attendance of approximately 3000 people and the presentation of the members of the presidential escort group "Grenadiers of Tarqui", with the professional contribution of the company Electric Light, experts in corporate events.
Another tool that is having success in the company is the Harmony software, which Juan described as "very user-friendly and easy to link with respect to IP, both TO LAN and WLAN".
