Sony introduced lamp and laser projectors

Latin America. Sony increases its medium-brightness projector division with a combination of new lamp and laser models that meet different budget and installation needs for business, academic, large venue or entertainment use.

The new projectors include two 3LCD laser models (VPL-FHZ65 and VPL-FHZ60) to expand the ever-widening range of Z-PhosphorTM laser light source projectors. They join the world's first 3LCD laser projector, the 4000 lumens VPL-FHZ55 model, widely used in small rooms, and the 7000 lumens VPL-FHZ700L model, designed for large commercial venues for educational, corporate, governmental and museum purposes.

For applications where the use of a lamp-based projector is more suitable, the new VPL-FH65 and VPL-FH60 come equipped with many features that continue to deliver high-quality performance.

The new WUXGA laser models (1920 x 1200) offer a brightness of 6000 lumens (VPL-FHZ65) and 5000 lumens (VPL-FHZ60), and the lamp models offer 6000 lumens (VPL-FH65) and 5000 lumens (VPL-FH60) and use BrightEra® panel technology to reproduce intense and natural colors.

The new models are designed to deliver improved image quality with new features such as "Reality Creation" and "Contrast Enhancer", technologies already used in Sony's high-end Home Cinema projectors. Reality Creation is a Super Resolution algorithm that analyzes and processes each input signal to perfect detail, clarity and sharpness to deliver naturally optimized images.

For those who require maximum precision color reproduction, the new projectors offer color space adjustment and color correction functions. With the color space adjustment feature, customers can adjust the coordinates of the red, green, and blue primary components, as well as choose from three different color space presets. The color correction feature allows customers to adjust the hue, brightness, and saturation of six different color gamuts.
