Business Consulting, Ricoh's new business line

Colombia. The fourth industrial revolution, also known as Industry 4.0, is a reality and is breaking into the business sphere, in such a way that companies that do not adapt to this change cannot guarantee their survival.

Thinking about it, the multinational Ricoh reinforces in Colombia its already world-renowned ricoh Business Consulting business line, designed to promote the digital transformation of any company.

"At Ricoh we are experts in digital transformation, that is, in addition to developing a consulting management, we also present solutions that fit each of the stages required by the change to the new business model," said Giancarlo Ghirotti, General Manager of Ricoh in Colombia.

According to the executive, this is based on the fact that a good relationship with customers does not support obsolete technologies, whose workflows are inefficient and generate losses of time and money.

To maximize this new digital reality, Ricoh suggests starting with a comprehensive business assessment, in order to identify areas where a change management strategy can be applied to improve organizational performance.

In this way, it proposes to work in five major fields of action: Opportunity Analysis, Empowering Digital Workspaces, Strategies for Digital Business, Digital Transformation and Change Management.

With regard to Opportunity Analysis, it is the first step of the evaluation process in which data and all the information necessary for an ideal diagnosis are documented; the end result should be a detailed report of how performance can be positively impacted using new tools and alternatives.

Once the analytical diagnosis has been made, it must be established how digital the processes are in the work environment, and how they can be optimized so that they generate important information in decision making; this is where the empowerment of digital workspaces comes in, a transformation plan that includes digitalization of the work environment, business mobility, integration of new data sources, security in the management of information, risk mitigation, contingency plan in case of disasters and governance of the business model.

As a third measure, and taking into account that the success of any company is focused on achieving an optimal execution of the business strategy, it is necessary to establish initiatives for digital businesses, in order to meet the demands of any market.

For its part, digital transformation constitutes the last step of the transformative process, where technological services and solutions must focus on supporting the C-Level leaders of the organization in the development and conversion of their specific strategies towards efficient processes; from there, it begins to advance to exceptional experiences for employees and customers, so that sustainable business growth is promoted.

Finally, change management supports the organization, focusing on people with the aim of preparing them to manage this new organization and this new corporate scenario.

"The objective of Ricoh Business Consulting is to help any business to provide unique experiences to its own clients through a technological transition that improves internal processes, resulting in a company with more efficient processes, greater savings and better operating results, according to the new reality of Industry 4.0", Concluded.
