International. To offer a better show to visitors to the exhibition 'Van Gogh Alive, The Experience', the company Dataton is synchronizing music, video and photography, integration in which the Watchout system plays a fundamental role.
In this exhibition, which is traveling through different museums around the world, Van Gogh's most famous works are displayed on large projection screens as part of a multimedia show that redefines audience appreciation of fine art.
The artist's paintings are projected using a full motion video, and include photographs of some of the places that inspired him between the 1880s and 1890s. In total, those attending the exhibition can find more than 3,000 images.
The exhibition is synchronized with the automated production and controlled by the Watchout system. According to Dean Stevenson, one of those in charge of the technical part of the show, to achieve the result they installed a system of 30 outputs to drive all the contents of the projectors.
"With Watchout we automate the process so that a group of projectors can go from showing individual images to a single one and then back again. This is essential for a show like Van Gogh Alive, where the element of surprise is key, you never know what you're going to be looking at."
The installation made allows the public to see the projected images everywhere: in front, behind, on the ceiling, and even on the floor. In addition, the system is scalable to adapt to each facility according to the size of the space in each of the countries you have visited, such as Singapore, Turkey and the United States.
