Collecting the trajectory of 12 years in the Mexican audiovisual industry, the first version of the fair under the name of IntegraTec Mexico will be held between August 16 and 18 at the World Trade Center in Mexico City.
AVI Latin America
With great changes and important supports, the expo and congress that brings together the audiovisual, broadcast and structured cabling and connectivity industries in Mexico, IntegraTec, returns to Mexico.
IntegraTec is the evolution of the fairs TecnoTelevisión, TecnoMultimedia and ExpoDatanet, which includes a trajectory since 2008 when they began in Colombia and soon expanded in Mexico and Brazil, organized by LatinPress Inc, event organizer and publisher of the magazines AVI Latin America and TVyVideo + Radio.
In addition to the expo, which will have the presence of the most important technology manufacturers for these three industries, there will be an outstanding academic program, as well as complementary activities carried out within the framework of the fair that will provide a whole week of training and updating for the Mexican industry.
What's new in 2023
As part of the novelties presented by IntegraTec for 2023, three activities stand out: the Bootcamp for integrators, a guided tour of an AV project and the guest vertical.
From 2023, IntegraTec will have a vertical guest for which a special program will be offered from the conference program and the expo. This year the invited vertical is the hospitality sector, which will have three sessions aimed at them in the academic program and the different actors of this sector have been summoned to visit the fair and learn about the latest developments in terms of technology that they can use in their hotels.
Another activity is a guided tour for a small group of fairgoers. This year will be held at Cetro, a viewpoint located on the top floor of the World Trade Center in Mexico City, which has an important display of audiovisual technology to entertain and inform its visitors. This was the winning project of the AV Latino Contest in its 2022 version.
Finally, there will be the Bootcamp for integrators, a training day during the two days prior to the fair, aimed at managers and administrators of integrating companies in the technology sector. The day will provide tools to allow your business to grow. The 8-hour training, divided into two days, will be given by Germán Cortés, General Manager of ALFIL, a technology institute based in Colombia.
IntegraTec adds important supports
The relevance of IntegraTec for the AV, broadcast and connectivity industry in Mexico, has allowed this year to add important support from institutions and entities with extensive experience in the sector. These include:

KNX Association, the international association that promotes the development of the KNX automation protocol, has also renewed its link to the IntegraTec fairs in Latin America by 2023.
IMCCA, an international association for the unified communications industry, has also returned as a partner for the development of IntegraTec.
The International Association of Data Center Infrastructure Certification Engineers, ICREA, the regulator of the design, construction, maintenance, supervision and commissioning of data center infrastructure, is also an important ally of IntegraTec.
The Association of Lighting Authors, AAI, was created in 1998 with the aim of joining forces and obtaining greater professional recognition of the figure of the Lighting Designer. They are also allies of IntegraTec Mexico.

Free Academic Program
During the first two days of IntegraTec, there will be two conference rooms that will offer a complete update program on the main trends for the audiovisual and broadcast industry.
The conference program will offer three panel discussions:
- The first will have end users of the hotel sector, who will share their experiences when acquiring and integrating technology for the operation of their hotels, as well as what their current needs are in terms of technology.
- The second will be with the finalists of the CALA Awards Best AV Project, which will allow to know the panorama of the audiovisual industry in Latin America from the hand of the representatives of five integrating firms.
- The third will be a discussion with experts in the KNX automation protocol, who will highlight the opportunities offered by its implementation in Latin America, which is growing more and more.
The AV industry will also be able to delve into other topics of interest, such as trends in videoconferencing with added value for hybrid work; AV over IP, evolution of videowall in control rooms; and technologies for implementing audio systems in architectural projects.
The conference program also includes two outstanding presentations in the broadcast area, one with the director of photography and documentary filmmaker Daniel Blanco, and another on HDR with Dolby Vision. Virtual reality will be present with a presentation on the growing trend in the use of LED screens in TV studios.
Sustainability, a topic of growing interest and concern throughout the technology industry, will also be part of IntegraTec with the presentation of the SAVe initiative and how each company can take important steps to comply with the reduction of technological waste, link to the circular economy and contribute to the fulfillment of the UN Sustainable Development Goals to 2030.
Premios CALA Awards
Within the framework of IntegraTec Mexico, the CALA Awards, Best AV Project, will be awarded. This is the evolution of the AV Latino Contest, which, since 2013, recognizes the best audiovisual integration projects carried out during the last year in Latin America.
The name change is due to the fact that the CALA Awards brings together all the awards given by LatinPress in the different industries in which it participates with the specialized media and fairs, with the aim of further highlighting the importance of those who are winners of this regional award. The CALA Awards, Best AV Project, will be held on Thursday, August 17.
